The event
The museum’s dedicated 2026 event page lists 15 evenings: December 3–6, 10–13, 17–20 and 21–23. Timed entry begins at 2 p.m., the last entry is listed at 7 p.m., and the event ends at 8:30 p.m. The museum hours page also lists December 21–23 as open for the event.
The visit is mainly outdoors and includes uneven ground, with some indoor exhibitions. The museum says the North Lot and North Entrance through the Thompson Exhibition Building are the event arrival point. Check the current event page for access needs, weather notices and the entry time available for your party.
Planning the evening
Plan an outdoor waterfront visit with warm layers and suitable footwear. Ask the museum about uneven surfaces, access needs and the facilities included in your ticket.
Compare a Mystic hotel for your selected dinner and museum route, or Stonington if that is where you want the evening. Arrange the complete return trip and compare parking and cancellation conditions.
